School-Age STEM Days: Catapults

Wednesday, Jul 23, 3:00 PM

Drop in for a different activity each week. This week, make your own catapult with a workshop from special presenters Stemmable.

Stemmable Inc is a youth-led 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to introducing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) concepts via fun and hands-on STEM activities to younger children of all backgrounds. It emphasizes simple yet engaging experiments that allow kids to explore the various different fields of STEM. Stemmable is a growing team of 20+ sophomores, juniors, and seniors from eight different high schools in the Bay Area, led by Ruth Li, a rising senior at Archbishop Mitty High School. The group of youth is bonded by their own love of STEM and their appreciation of early STEM exposure in their own lives. As they have served over 2400 children, the youth volunteers have been humbled by the joy of giving back to the community and receiving tremendously positive feedback from the community. For more information about Stemmable, please visit their website at www.stemmable.org.

This program is for grades 1 to 5 and their caregivers. For the best experience, please arrive on time.
