Repair Cafe Coming to Saratoga Library!

Sunday, Jul 20, 1:00 PM

You asked and it’s happening - Repair Cafe is coming to Saratoga Library! Volunteers will not only help repair your broken items, but they will also teach you how to fix things yourselves. For this session, the following repairs and maintenance will be offered:

  • Small Electrical Appliances: Troubleshoot and fix basic household appliance problems such as frayed wires, corroded battery contacts, jammed printers
  • Small Non-electrical Items: Troubleshoot and fix basic non-electrical items such as mechanical tools, jewelry clasps, loose screws, broken knobs
  • Bike Repair Diagnosis & Education: Bike fitting, adjustment and repair including troubleshooting and fixing flat tires, kick stands, brakes, shifters, tightening seats and baskets as supplies and tools allow
  • Clothes Mending: Simple tasks such as sewing on loose buttons, ripped seams, and patching holes

Repair Cafe volunteers from Saratoga, Mountain View and Palo Alto will be helping. Volunteers will do their best to fix items and provide advice.

Registration for repairs is required and will open on June 1, 2025. You may bring one item for repair. Come to the Community Room to check in when you arrive. Thank you.

All are welcome to observe and learn.
