Wander & Wonder: Nature Journaling

Time: 10:30 AM | Location: Mitchell Park Library - Meet at the \living wall\ of the library, near the entrance to the parking lot off of Middlefield Rd.

Description Poet Mary Oliver ‘s advice for life is to \pay attention, be astonished, and tell about it\ — something you can do on the road or even close to home! Nature journaling is one such activity that encourages you to pay close attention to your surroundings, get curious, and put it all down on paper so you can easily share or reflect on your own memories and experiences. During this workshop, attendees will be led through a series of exercises to warm up their eyes and hands. Then we will venture around the library, sketching as we go. Pencils and small sketchbooks, as well as a resource list, will be provided to use and take home. No artistic experience is necessary! This workshop is about the process, and people of all levels are encouraged to attend. Due to the outdoor location of this event, tweens should be accompanied by their adult.
